About me
I’m Alison. Too long out of a ‘normal’ job after a parenting career break I had an ‘if I build it will they come’ moment and started running small sewing classes and workshops from home. Fast forward a couple of years and it seems to be panning out with my (mostly) calm studio space in Stalybridge, Tameside. I’m happily running sewing workshops for adults, after school textiles and sewing classes for children, kids holiday clubs and loads of other creative art stuff like collage, felting and the like.
There’s nowhere near enough focus on creative stuff in schools, and as adults we can all benefit from time spent doing something mindful. Sewing, art and craft activities fit the bill perfectly.

Explore
Discover a new skill for yourself or encourage children to try something a little different, whether that be sewing, textiles, felting, or more art-based activities.
Make
Producing something tangible is immensely satisfying for adults and fosters a real sense of achievement in kids. Who knew you could get a 6 year old on a sewing machine!
Create
Creativity is embedded in everything we do. It's certainly not encouraged enough in schools, something I've a real bee in my bonnet about!

Facebook is the best place to stay up-to-date with everything that's happening and get in contact to check availability for kids after school and Saturday morning sewing or textiles classes, adult sewing workshops, one-to-ones/small groups for adults or home educated children and all the other art or mindful creative activities.
